Winlium is business software for running a company in one place. It covers money, stock, buying, selling, people, property and projects. Each part is a module. You only see the modules your company uses and your role allows.

What Winlium does

  • It keeps your books. Every posted document updates the ledger.
  • It tracks stock in your warehouses.
  • It moves documents through approval before they are posted.
  • It lets each person work only in the areas they need.
  • It handles Nigerian needs such as naira amounts, VAT at 7.5% and Withholding Tax (WHT).

How the menu is grouped

The menu is on the left of every screen. Below the search box you see Home and Approvals. Then the modules appear in five groups. You see a module only when your company has turned it on and your role gives you access to it. See Navigating the app for the reasons a module can be missing.

Parts that every module shares

Open a module in the menu and you see the same headings in the same order. Not every module has every heading.

Menu headingWhat it holds
Quick ViewA summary page for the module.
ConfigurationSetup: the lists and rules the module needs before you can work.
OperationsDaily work: the documents you create, approve and post.
BIDThe Business Intelligence Dashboard: charts and figures for managers.
ReportsPrintable and exportable reports.

Some modules use a slightly different heading, such as Configurations in Sales. The meaning is the same.

How these guides are organised

Each module guide follows the menu.

  1. Overview: what the module does, who uses it and how it connects to others.
  2. Setup: the Configuration items, in the order you should do them.
  3. Operations: one page per screen, with steps, fields and what happens in the ledger.
  4. BID: what each Business Intelligence Dashboard shows.
  5. Reports: what each report shows and how to filter it.

Two other areas help every module.

Guides use the exact words on your screen. When a guide says select Save, look for a button called Save. A menu path reads like this: Expense, then Operations, then My Expenses.

Where to find help

  1. Search these guides. Press Ctrl K on this site and type a page name, a button or a field name.
  2. Check the glossary. The Glossary explains the words Winlium uses.
  3. Read the error message. Many screens tell you what to fix. Look up common messages in Sign in.
  4. Look for a lock or a banner. A padlock in the menu, or a banner that starts "Part of this page is hidden by your permissions", means your role lacks access. Ask your administrator. See Navigating the app.
  5. Ask your administrator. They can change your role and your access. Rules are in Roles, permissions and module restriction.
